Kaohsiung's 10 Light Travel Routes Starting from NT$399 for a Full Day of Fun

How to have the best time in Kaohsiung? Starting in August, the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau launched the "Kaohsiung Four Seasons Leisure Travel" campaign, featuring over 10 "Kaohsiung Light Travel" routes. With diverse itinerary options—from family outings and romantic dates to cultural exploration and rural scenery—the experiences include professional guided tours as well as fun DIY local product activities, all starting at just NT$399 per person.

The 2013 Kaohsiung Four Seasons Leisure Travel offers routes priced between NT$399 and NT$750 per person. The first wave of summer routes includes “Hot Air Balloon Countryside Charm,” “Highway 17 Seaside Fishing Village Fun,” “Highway 21 Mountain Town Compassion Journey,” and “Highway 27 Forest Hot Spring Adventure.” Future seasonal itineraries will also feature “Highway 22 Rural Fruit Picking Joy,” “Strolling Through the Moon World and Tasting Local Banquet Culture,” “Spiritual Journey Through the United Nations of Religions,” “Northern Kaohsiung Learning Tour,” “Highway 27 Deep Forest Purple Butterfly Exploration,” “Qijin Marine Treasures Taste Quest,” and “Intellectual Kaohsiung Eco-Cultural Arts Tour.” These diverse light travel experiences cover various attractions across Kaohsiung, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.

 

His Yicheng, Director of the Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau, stated that the bureau has designed a variety of tour routes spanning the entire city. Whether visitors choose a single route or explore all quadrants for a 360-degree experience, they can enjoy a more diverse and alternative taste of life in Greater Kaohsiung, gaining deeper insights and emotional connections with the people, culture, and scenery.
