Eslite Songyan Store’s 36-Hour Sleepless Night & 80 Events to Celebrate Grand Opening

The highly anticipated “Eslite Lifestyle Songyan Store” is set to open on August 15. The entire venue is divided into four themed floors, bringing together designer concept stores, artisan workshops, era-themed teahouses, specialty theme restaurants, Eslite Bookstore, a vinyl music hall, as well as a performance theater and cinema. Starting August 14, a variety of events will be held, among which the “Eslite Sleepless Night eslite X up all night” will run for 36 consecutive hours from August 17 to 18, featuring 80 cross-night exciting activities. It will also debut a “shared long table,” gathering 17 F&B outlets from across the store, paired with exclusive set meals including brunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, available at a limited-time promotional price of NT$265. The first floor of Eslite Lifestyle Songyan Store brings together classic brands from the Chinese-speaking world, featuring carefully selected designer home décor, lifestyle accessories, jewelry, fragrances, and floral arrangements. The second floor pioneers the introduction of multiple specialty artisan and designer studios into a shopping mall, and also houses the very first new Eslite store format in Taiwan — “Living Project.” With the concept of “home,” it combines furniture, kitchen and bathroom supplies, lifestyle accessories, and garden goods as newly developed merchandise. It serves as a concept store that showcases Eslite’s proposal for “a better life.”

 

The third floor features the Eslite Bookstore, positioned around the theme of “original hometown fashion, infinite imagination.” It has planned four distinctive book zones: “Chinese & Foreign Literature,” “Muse Humanities,” “Intellectual Lifestyles,” and “Creative Aesthetics,” along with Taiwan’s first-ever vinyl-dedicated store, the “Eslite Music Vinyl Hall.” On the same floor, centered around the spirit of Taiwanese tea culture and infused with the aroma of tea blending into the scent of books, the store introduces century-old tea houses “Changshun Tea House” and “Youji Famous Tea,” the modern tea house “Chunshuitang” rich in design elements, as well as Eslite Lifestyle’s new concept tea cuisine “the first,” which merges tea and wine cultures.

 

The basement level two gathers a feast of culinary delights, including the northern Taiwan debut branch of World Champion baker Wu Pao-chun, traditional Chinese cuisine “Gaoki” that emphasizes classic heritage, and the creatively styled, theme-driven restaurant “Haoyang Qingshi.” Alongside are Eslite Cinema, which mainly screens art-house films, and Eslite Performance Hall, designed under the leadership of Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Toyo Ito’s team — together composing a harmonious symphony of music, art, film, and life.

 

To celebrate the opening, Eslite Lifestyle Songyan Store will host “Member’s Midsummer Night” from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on August 14, themed around “cross-industry live experiences.” Members of Eslite and their families and friends are invited to enjoy an exclusive opening gift. The store will offer free hourly experience activities, including 14 different types such as handmade music boxes, paper crafting, and tea ceremony sessions. From August 15 to 23, Eslite Cinema will screen 22 consecutive opening celebration films for free. Visitors can exchange their Eslite membership card or accumulated points for two admission tickets to any screening on the day. On August 18, during the “All-Night Movie Night,” blankets and free coffee will be provided, and the early screening of the movie “Sing a Song for My Wife” will include a sharing session with Wu Pao-chun’s breakfast bread. From August 17 to 18, Eslite Performance Hall will present a series of performances integrating cross-genre, family-friendly, classical, and jazz elements, featuring Lin Wen-zhong Dance Group, Wei Guangfg Jazz Quintet, Taipei Brass Quintet, Van der Want, Wang Ying, Classical Players, as well as author Yang Zhao and his daughter — pianist Li Qisumian.
