Parent-Child Fun: Painting a Colorful World of Creativity

Xu Dezong founded Lucky Art Industrial Co. in Yilan 32 years ago. With his professional expertise and never-say-die spirit, he produces high-quality, affordable crayons, chalks, colored pencils, and body painting materials. These allow both children and adults to unleash their imaginations on paper with crayons and colored pens just as we did in our childhood. Visitors can learn about the production process of crayons and colored pencils through detailed guided tours and in a comfortable environment. There are also plenty of family-friendly activities such as a Starlight Boulevard costume show, graffiti painting, and DIY experiences—making it one of the hottest tourist spots in Yilan in recent years.

Explore the Wetlands and Dye Fabric at Laogang Village

Plant-based fabric dyeing DIY is a fun activity suitable for the whole family. First, you twist collected leaves to extract juice, which is then used as a natural dye on white fabric. After tying the fabric with thread and boiling it in a pot for about half an hour, you’ll get a unique, beautiful piece of dyed cloth that can be used as a headscarf, scarf, tablecloth, and more. It’s both practical and memorable. The entire process is natural and pollution-free, offering kids an eye-opening experience.
