Admire the Yellow Rubber Duck on a Special Cruise Route in Kaohsiung’s Hongmao Port during Mid-Autumn Festival

The Yellow Rubber Duck will soon meet the public on Mid-Autumn Festival, September 19. To celebrate its arrival, the Hongmao Port Cultural Park has added a special “Bohai – Asia New Bay Area” harbor cruise route via exclusive yachts. These offer cozy onboard amenities as well as professional guided tours, taking visitors on a relaxing journey around nearby docks and enabling them to admire the Yellow Rubber Duck up close from the boat.

The Hongmao Port Cultural Park’s exclusive yachts normally sail between Bohai and the Hongmao Port Cultural Park, with the highlights being the closest possible views of the “sunset scenery” and “ships entering the harbor.” The Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that in conjunction with the Yellow Rubber Duck exhibition period, the Hongmao Port yachts will, in addition to their regular routes, operate a new luxury “Bohai – Asia New Bay Area” harbor cruise route. This not only allows visitors to get even closer to the Yellow Rubber Duck but also aims to help them learn about major public developments in the “Asia New Bay Area,” including the World Trade Exhibition and Convention Center, the Kaohsiung Music Center (Ocean Culture and Popular Music Center), the Kaohsiung Port Harbor and Travel Center (cruise terminal), the new Kaohsiung Public Library, and the Waterfront Light Rail.

 

To make ticket purchasing more convenient, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has partnered with i-bon to offer a boat ticket booking service. Ticket prices are NT$299 for standard admission and NT$199 for concessionary admission. An early bird ticket scheme is also available: those who purchase before September 18 can enjoy discounted rates of NT$199 on weekdays and NT$249 on holidays for standard tickets.
