However, to help more people understand the importance of conservation, the American Conservation Association has launched the ACE Volunteer Vacations. With a minimum 11-day experience camp, you only need to pay $600 to join professional volunteers on trips to various national parks, including the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park, Catalina Island, and more. Together with fellow conservation volunteers, you’ll hike through mountains and rivers, stay in volunteer campsites, and enjoy a post-sweat lunch in the forest. It may sound wonderful, but if your job includes picking up a shovel to build trails or removing invasive species that threaten ecological balance, working eight hours a day under the scorching sun, would you still want to join this hardcore program?
