The Yellow Duck Guides You on a Fun-Filled Tour of Kaohsiung

The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau has created business card-sized creative Yellow Duck postcards to coincide with the exhibition. These feature transportation information and surrounding maps for the exhibition venue—Glory Pier—as well as one-day and two-day tour itineraries, inviting the public to visit Kaohsiung to see the duck and explore the city. These practical and portable creative Yellow Duck postcards can be picked up at the High-Speed Rail Zuoying Station, Kaohsiung Railway Station, Formosa Boulevard MRT Station, and the Love River Tourism Service Center. Everyone is welcome to come to Kaohsiung to “Visit the River, Explore the Harbor, and See the Yellow Duck,” and experience the beauty of Kaohsiung.

 

In addition, the Tourism Bureau has partnered with local businesses to offer travelers a variety of perks. The “Eco-Friendly Accommodation – Green Travel in Kaohsiung” project not only features various accommodation discounts at participating hotels and homestays but also provides 60 accommodation raffle tickets (from September 19 to October 20) for guests staying at these hotels and homestays during the period. Winners may get the chance to revisit Kaohsiung. The “2013 Sunshine Kaohsiung Study Tour Fun Discount Passport,” launched this year (2013), compiles discount information from four categories of merchants: cultural creativity/tourism factories, agricultural and fishery specialties, accommodations, and souvenirs. The discounts are valid for up to 500 days across the year. With any transportation ticket stub to Kaohsiung, you can exchange for the passport at the Tourism Service Centers located at Kaohsiung Railway Station, High-Speed Rail Zuoying Station, and Kaohsiung International Airport. Additionally, those who purchase a one-day pass for the Kaohsiung MRT or top up their Easycard with more than NT$200, or spend over NT$100 at the MRT Gift Shop, can exchange for the discount passport at the MRT Gift Shop located at Formosa Boulevard MRT Station. Holding the passport grants access to great travel, accommodation, and shopping discounts, as well as the chance to collect stamps and participate in raffles, with the top prize being NT$20,000.
