Taipei Hot Spring Festival: Big Heart Collection Campaign – Donate Blood and Get a Soaking Coupon!

As the autumn chill sets in, you must be starting to plan your winter hot spring trip too, right? The annual Taipei Hot Spring Festival will take place from October 10–14 at venues including the Xinbeitou MRT Station Plaza. This year, there will be a Nostalgic Music PK competition, performances by Ming Hua Yuan Taiwanese Opera, authentic Japanese Matsuyama Lion Dance, and children’s mikoshi parades in Beitou. During the event, there will also be a 3D street art exhibition created by students of Tamkang High School, as well as a charity campaign where donating blood earns you a soaking coupon at a Beitou hot spring hotel—letting you give back while enjoying a warm soak. Additionally, from now until December 30, those who bring the Taipei Hot Spring Festival brochure can enjoy discounts on hot springs, accommodations, and food in Xinbeitou. Brochures are available at the Taipei City Tourism Service Center, Taipei City Hall, or participating shops in the Xinbeitou shopping area, while supplies last.

This year’s event runs for five days, with the hot spring joint exhibition booths and 3D street art displays open daily. Whether it’s the hottest seasonal souvenirs, essential hotel experiences in Beitou, or super-discounted coupons for hot springs, accommodations, and food, you can find it all at the booths. The long-popular Beitou Open-Air Cinema will be held on October 12. For those wanting to explore Beitou more deeply but aren’t familiar with the area, consider taking the free Hot Spring Shuttle Bus on October 12 and 13 to discover the hidden gems of this hot spring town.

 

In addition, this year’s event incorporates charity activities. Not only will there be a Love & Culture Market every day, but from 09:00 to 18:00 on October 11–13, the Beitou Blood Donation Charity Day will be held. During the event, simply donate a bag of blood at the designated spot in front of Beitou Park to receive a soaking coupon at a Beitou hot spring hotel.
