Taoyuan’s Yellow Duck Makes Its Grand Debut: Complete Traffic Guide

From October 26 to November 10, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM (extended to 9:00 PM on holidays), the traffic control area at Houhu Pond will cover the section of County Road 114 (Zhongshan Road / Chenggong Intersection) leading toward Houhu Pond. Additionally, sections including Xinfu 1st and 2nd Roads, Daren Street, Dazhi Street, and Dayong Street surrounding Taoyuan Hospital on the east side of Xinwu Pond will also be under traffic control.

 

The free shuttle bus service runs from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (until 7:30 PM on November 10), with the following routes:

1. Blue Line – Starts at Taoyuan HSR Station, boarding at Exit 5, Platform 9. It travels along County Highway 31 to Guoling No. 58 Pond, then via County Road 114 to Xinwu Pond before returning to the HSR station. On holidays, buses run every 5–10 minutes; on weekdays, every 10–20 minutes.

 

2. Red Line – Departs from the parking lot under County Highway 31 Bridge, passes through Qingtian Road to Guoling No. 58 Pond, then via County Road 114 to Xinwu Pond, and returns along the same route to the County Highway 31 Bridge parking lot. On holidays, buses run every 5–10 minutes; on weekdays, every 10–20 minutes. This route offers low-floor buses for passengers with disabilities.

 

3. Yellow Line – Starts from Xinwu Pond, travels along Sanmin Road to Houhu Pond, then returns to Xinwu Pond. On holidays, buses run every 3–5 minutes; on weekdays, every 5–10 minutes.

4. Green Line – Departs from Yong’an Fishing Port, follows County Road 114 to Houhu Pond, and returns to Yong’an Fishing Port. On holidays, buses run every 15–20 minutes; on weekdays, every 30 minutes.

- Xinwu Pond (Dots Area): The bus stop is named Zhongli Bus Xinwu Terminal, with a fare of NT$45.

- Houhu Pond (Duck Area): The bus stop is named Quanmei Company, with a fare of NT$53.

- Guoling No. 58 Pond (Lotus Area): The bus stop is named Beishi Station, with a fare of NT$36.
