The 2017 Sapporo Snow Festival has kicked off！Illuminated ice sculptures at night create a winter wonderland

The annual Sapporo Snow Festival opened earlier this month (February), attracting over 2 million visitors every year, and this year is no exception, highly anticipated as always！
According to The Japan Times, the ice sculptures of the Sapporo Snow Festival are displayed across three locations. The main exhibition area at Odori Park officially opened on February 6; some works are also displayed along the streets of Susukino, where the ice sculptures are illuminated from sunset until 11 PM, turning the area into a true winter wonderland; the final location is at the TSUDOME community dome, ideal for family activities, featuring ice slides, mazes, and more. Inside the dome, you can also enjoy authentic Hokkaido cuisine and locally exclusive drinks.

In addition to the ice sculptures, there are also numerous performances and various amusement facilities loved by children.
