The Yokosuka SEA CANDLE Observation Deck is recognized by the Japan Night View Association as one of Japan’s Night View Heritage Sites. With about 6 million visitors annually, winter—with its crisp, clear air—is the season when the most naturally beautiful views are reflected. In winter, from the top of the Yokosuka SEA CANDLE Observation Deck down to the garden below, the space is enveloped in light. Decorated with 40,000 crystals, the light tunnel shimmers in hues of white and purple. The SEA CANDLE resembles a “Festival of Light and Color (光と色の祭典),” filled with a dreamy atmosphere. Additionally, from the top of the observation deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Yokohama at night, while winter tulips and the decorative lighting of the Enoden train are also must-see winter spectacles.

Tokyo German Village ~ Winter Illumination

 

Become the master of the “Light Picture Book (光の絵本)”! This year marks the eighth installment of the Tokyo German Village light festival. Using 2 million bulbs, the event creates a fantastical world—not only captivating with its dazzling glow, but also touching the heart with “lights that illuminate the soul.” The beautiful interplay of light and shadow presents scenery reminiscent of scenes from storybook illustrations, moving the hearts of all who see it.
