1,600 panda cubs march on Taipei with even greater healing power than the Yellow Duck

For fans of the panda cub, 1,600 paper sculpture pandas created by French artist Paulo Grangeon will soon be exhibited at Taipei City Hall Plaza in early March next year. The massive and adorable panda army is set to completely capture the hearts of netizens.

 

The 1,600 pandas by French artist Paulo Grangeon have previously appeared in cities such as Paris, Bordeaux in France, and Berlin and Frankfurt in Germany, where they captivated locals everywhere. Now, this super-cute panda army made of eco-friendly paper pulp will march into Taipei. Each panda is about the size of a medium-sized dog. The exhibition not only promotes the fact that there are only 1,600 giant pandas left in the world, but also plans to showcase 200 Formosan black bears alongside the panda army to draw attention to the conservation of Taiwan’s black bears. After the exhibition, all displayed works are expected to be auctioned off for charity, with the proceeds going entirely to public welfare organizations as conservation funds.
