To promote urban tourism in Taipei and enable visitors to experience the city in depth through convenient transport, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism has launched the 2014 edition of the “Taipei Pass Taipei Tourist Passport” travel and discount shop guide. Starting from January 1st next year, simply purchase an unlimited-day “Taipei Pass Taipei Tourist Passport” card to receive a limited-edition guidebook for free. The new edition includes private travel itineraries for the “Taipei Four Urban Districts Design-Themed Tours” recommended by four travel experts—Liu Kexiang, Yeh Yilan, Huang Zijiao, and Li Qingzhi—as well as discounts at 82 premium shops. There are also exclusive gifts that reflect Taipei’s city character, such as Diva Life’s “Panda Chocolate Slices” and Guo Yuan Yi’s “Pearl Milk Crunch,” allowing travelers to experience the charm of Taipei.

The “Taipei Pass Taipei Tourist Passport” itinerary and discount shop guide will be distributed in 60,000 copies, including 30,000 in Chinese, 20,000 in English, and 10,000 in Japanese. It combines travel itineraries and specialty shops related to Taipei’s design and creative culture, featuring coupons for 82 quality Taipei shops. These include 10 free redemption offers (Fortress Café, Zhuangzi Teahouse, Miao Xian Wang, Jiade Pastries, Da Hei Song Xiao Lian Kou, Maokong Grand Tea Pot first-floor teahouse, Taipei Puppet Theatre, Shao Shuai Zen Garden, Guo Yuan Yi, and Diva Life Chocolate), as well as Taipei city’s first-ever exclusive gifts. Additionally, four travel experts—Liu Kexiang, Yeh Yilan, Huang Zijiao, and Li Qingzhi—are invited to recommend their private itineraries, sharing their experiences of Taipei’s design, culture, cuisine, and independent travel, guiding visitors to experience the unique characteristics of Taipei’s four urban districts.

The Department of Information and Tourism pointed out that the 2014 edition of the “Taipei Pass Taipei Tourist Passport” Travel and Discount Shop Guide will go on sale starting January 1, 2014, at various Taipei MRT stations and the Taipei City Customer Service Center of EasyCard Corporation.
