The Thai government announced on the 7th that, in order to stimulate the tourism market, the "visa fee exemption" measure implemented since December last year will be extended until the end of August this year, and the 50% discount on visa-on-arrival will also be extended to August.
To boost the tourism market, Thai authorities announced that from December last year to the end of February this year, they would exempt Taiwanese travelers from visa fees, and the visa-on-arrival fee was restored to its original price of 1,000 Thai baht. Due to a positive response, they decided on the 7th to extend this preferential measure, but Taiwanese travelers still need to apply for a visa at the Thai Trade and Economic Office.
