As winter vacation and Lunar New Year holidays approach, besides traveling for spring outings, you can also visit Old Master Q to celebrate the New Year at the Taipei Songshan Cultural and Creative Park from now until February 9th. Upon entering the exhibition venue, visitors are welcomed by Old Master Q’s Ding Ding Car, which greets all guests, followed by eight major themed exhibition zones that take you back half a century. The humorous and witty Old Master Q comics appear in various forms throughout the venue, where you can also take photos with Old Master Q, while fun interactive experience games are the highlight of the show.

The Hong Kong comic artist Wong Chak’s comic series Old Master Q, first published in the 1960s, left a deep impression on readers with the character Old Master Q’s sense of justice, good-heartedness, and complex personality, making him—as well as Big Potato and Mr. Chin—globally renowned comic stars among Chinese communities.

The Taipei stop of the “Old Master Q 50 Time Ding Ding Car” World Tour Exhibition not only features the time-traveling Ding Ding Car at the entrance attracting many visitors, but also includes eight major themed zones inside the venue: Hyper Time Departure, Swinging Crowd, Jump into the Frame, Pharaoh’s Wall, Space Capsule, Back to Water Tiger, Comic Workbench, Creative Whimsy, and the Old Master Q Zone. These zones present Old Master Q’s absurd inventions, quirky imagination, humorous storylines, and the classic socially satirical comic style in diverse ways.
