Visitors to Zhuzihu are first greeted by calla lily-shaped guardrails—an aesthetic yet safety-conscious design that replaces the previously dull and rigid Jersey barriers, making the roads more lively and visually appealing. Additionally, in the famous wedding photography spot known as the “Black Forest,” with its towering straight cedar trees, the Department of Land has installed a heart-shaped art piece symbolizing pure love. Chen Yan-cheng, Senior Engineer of the Road and Trail Section at the Department of Land Engineering, noted that this oversized heart adds a fairytale-like romantic ambiance, attracting many couples to take photos and create cherished memories. In the future, more attractions such as the Green Maple Trail and the restoration field of Penglai rice will be completed, along with ongoing enhancements to the landscape of industrial roads in the area.

Cao Chang-zheng, the village chief of Hutanli, mentioned that the industrial roads managed by the Department of Land within Zhuzihu each have their own unique charm. For example, the main route of Zhuzihu features a cherry blossom avenue stretching for miles—whether it’s the breathtaking sight of thousands of pink blossoms in full bloom or the romantic scene of petals gently falling, it captivates all who visit. The branch route of Zhuzihu, home to the popular calla lily fields, remains the most densely visited section. Along the way, numerous specialty restaurants allow visitors to savor fresh mountain vegetables while enjoying the local stream ecology and terraced field views. Walking along the riverside trail in the top lake area of Zhuzihu offers distant views of the sulfur vapor rising from Xiaoyoukeng, immersing you in a mystical and romantic atmosphere.
