The paper teddy bears that captured Taipei’s heart are making another surprise appearance! This time, the army of paper bears is popping up on the MRT train bound for “Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station,” and they’ve even brought along their good friend, the Formosan black bear, to meet everyone at the plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall.

The “1600 Pandas World Tour – Taipei” public art exhibition recently concluded successfully at Taipei City Hall Plaza, where the super-cute army of paper bears attracted over one million visitors.Starting March 14, this “adorable army” will continue to meet the public at the plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall, joined by an additional 200 paper Formosan black bears.It’s expected to create another wave of black-and-white cuteness.

To ensure the bears and black bears arrive on time to meet the public at the National Theater & Concert Hall, the organizers specially arranged for the double bear squad to make a flash appearance at the MRT Nangang Depot. They hopped on the train bound for “Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station,” and once aboard, the bears transformed into everyday commuters—some talking on the phone, reading the paper, others wearing scarves or carrying cameras, with some even snuggling up together, their human-like charm both hilarious and heartwarming.
