Reopening of Japan Flights with Super Affordable WiFi for Cherry Blossom Viewing

Based on the latest forecasts from Japan’s cherry blossom front reports, this year the peak blooming period for cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Osaka will occur at the end of March and early April, gradually spreading northward all the way to Hokkaido. To allow travelers to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom scenery, TransAsia Airways has not only resumed flights to Ishigaki Island on April 2 and increased flights to Osaka starting April 10, but also partnered with JAPANPAGE, a specialist in Japanese travel information, to launch a special WiFi router rental promotion. This allows travelers in Japan to stay connected at all times and share the stunning cherry blossoms and Japanese culture with family and friends.

 

From now until March 31, 2015, travelers who purchase TransAsia Airways tickets or package tours to Japan can first register at the airline's dedicated WiFi rental application website (http://japanpage.net/transasia). The daily rental fee for a 3G router is 700 Japanese Yen (approximately NT$199); the daily rental fee for a 4G LTE router is 1,020 Japanese Yen (approximately NT$294). The minimum rental period is three days, and applications must be made by 12:00 noon three days before the intended usage date. Each device supports simultaneous connections for up to 10 users. The communication service is provided and covered by NTT Docomo’s FOMA Plus Area, Japan’s largest telecommunications company.

 

Rental plans can be applied for separately based on communication options and insurance choices, and there is also an All-in-One integrated plan available for travelers (minimum rental period of three days). Those who choose the All-in-One integrated plan can enjoy an additional day of free usage.

 

For pick-up and return, travelers can choose to collect their devices at Songshan Airport before departure or have them delivered to their home (with the traveler bearing the one-day delivery fee for rentals). Alternatively, they can pick up or return the devices upon arrival at Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, New Chitose Airport, Kansai Airport, Fukuoka Airport, or Naha Airport (recently opened).
