For a leisurely spring getaway, head to Jeju Island in South Korea, which boasts 26 scenic walking routes across the island. China Airlines (Revival Airways) offers exclusive direct flights from Taoyuan to Jeju, with special promotions starting now,with round-trip tickets from just NT$6,800 per person(excluding tax, economy class, early bird promotional price), and in partnership with 12 authorized travel agencies, also offeringflight + hotel packages starting from NT$9,900 per person(including tax, four days and three nights, minimum two people),group tours starting from NT$10,999 (including tax),as well as travel packages that include participation in events such as the “Seogwipo Canola Flower International Hiking Festival” and the “2014 Jeju International Peace Marathon.”

Jeju is South Korea’s largest island, known for its mild climate year-round and nicknamed the “Hawaii of Korea.” It has also gained fame for its “Jeju Olle” walking trails, which have helped pioneer the slow travel movement. China Airlines is currently the only airline in Taiwan offering direct flights between Taoyuan and Jeju, with four round-trip flights per week and a flight time of about 1 hour and 50 minutes. Gao Zhihua, spokesperson for China Airlines, said: “‘Olle’ (올레) is a Jeju dialect term referring to the small lanes or alleys that lead from one’s doorstep to the main road.Jeju is currently in full bloom with cherry blossoms and canola flowers this spring, and travelers can explore the island’s mountain and coastal beauty in depth through its 26 different walking routes.

Running enthusiasts and marathon lovers shouldn’t missthe “Seogwipo Canola Flower International Hiking Festival” held on Jeju Island from March 29–30 and the “2014 Jeju International Peace Marathon” on March 30.The flight discounts are only available through the early bird promotion sold on China Airlines’ official website, and the number of discounted seats on each flight and from each authorized travel agency is limited.
