Each March, Malaysia’s top annual sporting event, the 2014 Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix, roars back to life at the Sepang International Circuit from March 28 to 30. The Sepang Circuit in Malaysia has hosted the F1 Grand Prix since 1999. Spanning 5.5 kilometers, the circuit boasts the widest track, the longest race distance, and most notably, its banana-leaf-shaped grandstand roof and the two straight sections flanking the spectator areas. F1 enthusiasts can get up close at the end of the straights to watch drivers push their engines to the limit, slamming the brakes from 7th gear at 300 km/h down to 2nd gear at under 100 km/h. You might even catch a thrilling overtaking maneuver.
This year’s Malaysian Grand Prix is the second round of the season and a crucial race for teams and drivers to gauge their early-season form and competitiveness. The newly introduced V6 turbocharged engines deliver greater torque, providing drivers with more power during low-speed turns. This makes the high-speed section after the long straight and the subsequent over 180-degree hairpin an even more fiercely contested battleground, promising an exhilarating race.

Among them, Pavilion is arguably the most favored shopping mall among Taiwanese travelers. In front of the mall stands a beautiful fountain (The Pavilion Crystal Fountain), designed by Taiwan’s glass art studio Liuli Gongfang. Standing 3.6 meters tall and made up of three stacked bowls, it is currently the tallest glass artwork in existence. The carvings on the bowls depict Malaysia’s national flower (the hibiscus), and the three bowls symbolize the peaceful coexistence and ethnic harmony of Malaysia’s three major communities—the Chinese, Malays, and Indians. At night, the beautiful glass pieces come alive with a spectrum of colors as they interact with the fountain’s light and water. The lights and music paint a vivid canvas for the Pavilion, while the dancing fountains and synchronized light-music rhythms infuse the space with the youthful vibrancy of Malaysia’s tropical, Southeast Asian charm, creating the most brilliant sensory memories for all visitors.
