As an office worker, Fatty Bi’s mission is to discover affordable yet delicious meals. Lunchtime is when the real gems are found. Thankfully, I can sneak out during lunch to enjoy a meal before heading back to work—so planning ahead is essential. Otherwise, just stepping outside on a hot day can be exhausting. Alright, let’s get this show on the road—today, I’m sharing what I had for lunch that day.

The name “Xiao Fu Dai Zhe Zou Mei Shi” (Grab-and-Go Delights from Xiao Fu) sounds kinda cute. Is it for dine-in or takeout? XD (Oops, got sidetracked.) The shop is located near Chihkan Tower. When I visited on a weekday at noon, there was a short wait, so I’d recommend going earlier if you’re interested.

Inside, the seating isn’t extensive, with part of the space taken up by an open kitchen where you can watch the cooking process. The place has air conditioning, and the shelves are decorated with various Japanese-style items.

Here’s the MENU. It has two sides.
I heard the popular set meals these days are the ones shown above. Set B offers a mix of savory and sweet dishes—you don’t even need to think about dessert because it’s included. Just go for Set B, XD. There are also à la carte options and desserts. Pricing-wise, I personally find it quite reasonable. Pork Rice 65 yuan!

Set B – $158
Flavorful Pork Laksa Noodles | Bacon Egg Roll (small) | Matcha Milk Ice (small) | Handmade Pudding
This set feels like such a great deal!! You get a main dish, sides, and a dessert—all for $158. No wonder it’s packed and you have to queue up during weekday lunch hours.

Flavorful Pork Laksa Noodles
The broth is mildly spicy and appetizing, with a rich flavor. I’d say the broth is full of taste. It has the creaminess of coconut milk and a distinct lemongrass aroma, plus a hint of Southeast Asian spices. The noodles are Q-textured and smooth, not mushy. There’s a good amount of toppings, including bean sprouts, meat slices, and more. The portion is pretty generous too. It’s quite filling.

Bacon Egg Roll (small)
The bacon egg roll is basically a modified version of tamagoyaki, but in a smaller size. It’s still just as delicious. The texture is bouncy, with eggy and sweet flavors. The bacon in the middle adds a salty, meaty richness. When eaten warm, it’s slightly juicy and moist.

Handmade Pudding
I’m personally a big fan of the handmade pudding. The caramel is lightly fragrant and subtly sweet, while the pudding itself has a rich eggy-milky aroma. The texture is soft and bouncy—it’s the old-school style of pudding. I love its unique caramel scent.

Matcha Milk Ice (small)
I was a bit surprised they paired matcha with ice here!! As a matcha lover, I secretly cheered inside, XD. The matcha milk ice has a slight bitterness balanced by the sweetness of condensed milk. There are also crushed bits on top to add texture. Pairing a bite of pudding with a spoonful of matcha ice is also a great combo.

Pork Roast N $65

Seasonal Fruit Milk Ice – $70

On a hot day, you’ve gotta add a fruit ice to cool down. It’s topped with seasonal fruits, which change from time to time. It’s like having a post-meal fruit serving too. The icy shaved ice and fresh fruits offer a refreshing mix of tart and sweet flavors.
