As summer arrives, golden shower trees across Tainan begin to blossom, and after the Dragon Boat Festival, they are in full bloom, turning the city into a golden wonderland. Particularly in the Hutoupi Scenic Area of Xinhua District, strolling along the lakeside path, you’ll find golden shower trees lining your way, allowing you to wander through a poetic golden rain—an absolutely idyllic scene.

The 2014 Tainan Golden Shower Tree Season kicked off on May 15. To promote the city’s water recreation activities and coincide with the golden shower tree season, the Tourism Bureau has organized diverse water recreation experience events on May 24, June 7, June 15, and June 21 at the Hutoupi Scenic Area in Xinhua District, offering the public a chance to enjoy holiday water activities and aquatic leisure experiences.

This water recreation event includes canoeing, SUP (stand-up paddling), and windsurfing. The experience activities are thrilling, challenging, highly interactive, and educational. Amid the tranquil reservoir and the poetic golden rain, you can enjoy a carefree aquatic adventure, away from the hustle and bustle—truly a delightful experience in life.

These water recreation experience events have received an enthusiastic response from participants on May 24 and June 7. For those who wish to join, there are still two more dates available: June 15 and June 21. Please seize the opportunity to sign up as soon as possible.
