Along Lane 42, Pingjing Street in Shilin District, the cherry blossoms are currently in full bloom—an absolutely stunning sight. It is recommended that visitors combine their blossom viewing with a hike along the “Bamboo Forest Trail.” At the entrance to the trail, cherry blossoms are already outstretched, dancing in the wind as if to welcome you, complemented by blue skies and white clouds—it’s truly a breathtaking view.

The Bamboo Forest Trail begins at Lane 42, Pingjing Street. Lush green bamboo lines both sides of the path, while the sounds of insects and birds sing in your ears. Strolling slowly along this slender trail allows you to peacefully take in the bamboo scenery and relax your body and mind. You’ll eventually arrive at a small pavilion near Gongping Bridge, where visitors can have a picnic, rest, and enjoy the tranquility of the bamboo grove before turning back. If you continue past Gongping Bridge, the path connects to the Gouyinqin Ancient Trail (a section of the tail water channel), and you’ll eventually exit via Lane 350, Yonggong Road.

Additionally, Beitou District boasts the highest density of cherry blossom forests in Taipei, with the blooming period starting around February. It is recommended to walk down from the “Shangqing Palace Trail,” which connects popular cherry blossom spots such as Shangqing Palace, the Wu Family Ancestral Hall, and Anguo Temple along the way.
