Since the “Miraculous Soufflé Pancake” officially launched at J.S. FOODIES TOKYO’s first Taiwan store last November, the Valentine’s Day season has brought two limited-edition items to J.S. FOODIES TOKYO: hazelnut caramel banana soufflé pancakes and the Tokyo Burger.

The hazelnut caramel banana soufflé pancake is available for a one-month limited time, in sync with the Japanese stores. In addition to the soft, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth soufflé pancake, this Valentine’s limited flavor combines hazelnut caramel bananas with three specially made sauces—hazelnut cream sauce and ganache chocolate sauce, paired with freshly grilled caramelized banana slices and crushed nuts. The hazelnut caramel banana soufflé pancake is priced at NT$320 and will only be available until March 14.

Anyone who loves traveling in Japan is surely familiar with the long queues at Yoshichō’s iconic original deep-fried beef meatball shop. This Valentine’s limited-edition item, the “Tokyo Burger,” stuffs Japan’s soul food — the “menchi katsu” (deep-fried beef patty) — into a burger bun. The “menchi katsu” is made by mixing ground meat and onions, pounding it into a patty shape, dipping it in egg wash, then coating and deep-frying it. Its crispy outer crust and juicy interior deliver a simple yet irresistible flavor that has won the hearts of the Japanese public. The Tokyo Burger is priced at NT$290 and is available as a Taiwan-limited edition.
