Budget airline spring promotions kick off your summer travel plans with flight deals

As the new year arrives, budget airlines are gearing up with exciting offers. Asian low-cost carriers AirAsia, Tigerair, and Vanilla Air have all launched special ticket promotions for the season.

AirAsia’s New Year promotion is now open for bookings until February 18, with travel dates from now until July 31, 2018. Fares start at TWD 1,288 (excluding tax) for a one-way flight from Taipei to Kuala Lumpur, TWD 3,189 (excluding tax) from Kuala Lumpur to the honeymoon hotspot Maldives, and TWD 3,800 (excluding tax) for one-way flights to popular Australian destinations such as Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney.

During the New Year period, AirAsia is also offering an exclusive new meal — Emperor’s Fried Rice — and a duty-free gift bag promotion. The gift bags come in four sizes priced at 38 MYR, 68 MYR, 88 MYR, and 128 MYR, with contents valued at more than six times the price.

For Japan, a favorite destination among Taiwanese travelers, Vanilla Air has launched discounted fares:

Taipei – Osaka Kansai starting from TWD 1,978
Taipei – Okinawa starting from TWD 1,678
Taipei – Sapporo starting from TWD 3,219

Additionally, Vanilla Air, a subsidiary of ANA, has announced great news: its new route from Taipei (Taoyuan) to Fukuoka is scheduled to officially launch in summer 2018, becoming the fourth international route from Taipei to Japan after Tokyo (Narita), Osaka (Kansai), and Okinawa (Naha).
