On this Qixi night, gaze at the starry sky as the Cowherd and Weaver Girl cross the magpie bridge. Remember their legendary love story? Share a heavenly Qixi feast with your beloved. On Qixi Festival (August 2, 2014), L’Hermitage Hot Spring Hotel in Beitou unveiled a special "Kiss & Soak" French romantic set menu. The European Restaurant C’est Bon, helmed by a Le Cordon Bleu chef, offers a NT$5,200+10% per couple Qixi French set menu. Diners who share a sweet kiss upon arrival will receive a complimentary NT$2,000 romantic couples’ hot spring room voucher. Enjoy a once-a-year Qixi double treat.

The European Restaurant C’est Bon presents a premium French Qixi couple’s set menu for NT$5,200+10% per two. Chef Peter, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate, uses top seasonal ingredients blended with local Taiwanese flavors, skillfully blending traditional French delicacies with local Taiwanese elements. Take your lover on a flavorful journey between France and Taiwan.

Starters: [Horse dung sea urchin & charcoal-grilled Puli white bamboo shoots with yuzu miso sauce] – Premium Hokkaido sea urchin pairs with crisp white bamboo shoots, accented with yuzu miso to highlight the sea urchin’s sweetness. This starter is like a love boat setting sail on a culinary adventure. [Zucchini soup with seasonal seafood & Spanish chorizo] – Stir-fried Taiwanese zucchini and onions simmered with chicken stock and seasonal seafood, finished with uniquely flavored Spanish chorizo for a rich, layered taste. [Pan-seared quail with red beetroot, lemon cream & quail sauce] – Carefully selected fresh quail from Pingtung, paired with crisp red beetroot, served with refreshing lemon cream and a rich quail sauce made from quail bones and vegetables. Two unique sauces balance light and bold flavors. Main: [Boston lobster & scallop mousse with pearl peas & lobster sauce] – Premium shelled Boston lobster, with delicate scallop mousse made by pressing whole Hokkaido scallops into cream, pan-seared to highlight the lobster’s ocean flavor. Vibrant pea purée and amber brandy lobster sauce create a stunning summer visual and taste experience.

Another main option: [American Wagyu beef tenderloin, corn tortilla, Yilan Sanxing scallions with Bernaise sauce & Makau pepper] – Premium American Wagyu beef tenderloin offers a firm texture with the signature sweet marbling of U.S. beef. Paired with Yilan Sanxing scallions and shallots, their sweet and slightly spicy notes replace traditional onion and garlic. Served with classic French Bernaise sauce and local Makau pepper, the tenderloin balances elegance and wildness. Dessert: Chef’s special Qixi sweet [cherry wine & chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream & crispy coconut flakes] – Rich dark chocolate cake layered with bitter chocolate mousse, filled with bittersweet cherry wine cream, topped with tangy cherry sauce. The layered flavors of sweet, sour, and bitter create an unforgettable romantic experience.
