Hello Kitty fans, get ready to make a pilgrimage — the world’s first Kitty-themed supermarket has opened in Hong Kong. Hong Kong department store chain ITeM Mart has launched its first branch on Hong Kong Island, transforming its supermarket into a full-on Kitty theme. From the entrance signage and shopping carts to plastic bags, the Kitty vibe is everywhere. The shelves are stocked with a huge variety of Hello Kitty merchandise, covering everything from food to household items — guaranteed to delight any Kitty fan's eyes.

ITeM Mart’s new Sai Wan branch is located near Exit B2 of the University of Hong Kong Station, offering very convenient access. The supermarket has two floors: the first floor mainly offers snacks and beverages, while the second sells fresh, frozen meat, sushi, and more. The limited-time-only Kitty-themed supermarket features around 300 Hello Kitty products, including over 70 exclusive items such as sushi, macarons, champagne, and limited-edition plush toys — all available only here.

As you step into the Kitty supermarket, you’ll immediately be drawn to the large Kitty sign at the entrance. Once inside, surprises await everywhere — from staff uniforms and product shelves to plastic bags, all are utterly adorable Hello Kitty style. Since the Kitty supermarket is only a limited-time event, running for just three months, it will revert back to a regular ITeM Mart supermarket after May 31. Kitty fans looking to experience this must seize the opportunity.
