Dadaocheng Music Fireworks Festival

The 2014 Qixi Festival will be dazzlingly romantic！ The “Taipei Dadaocheng Music Fireworks Festival,” organized by the Taipei City Government, will make a romantic debut on Qixi Festival (August 2). To help everyone better experience this year’s event theme of “Love Without Limits,” in addition to arranging fantastic performances and stunning fireworks displays at the event site on the day,a series of related activities will be launched around the Dadaocheng area starting from July 26 to immerse the public in the sweet atmosphere of Romantic Lover’s Week and double the happiness felt！

The event integrates surrounding business district promotions, including those by the Datong District Office, Taipei Underground Mall, Ningxia Night Market, and the Houbian/Huayin commercial area, offering a series of discounts and culturally unique activities. In particular, in collaboration with Ningxia Night Market, the “Paper Panda Love Unlimited 214 Lovers’ Banquet” will be available from July 31 to August 2. Couples can enjoy Ningxia Night Market specialties for just 214 NT dollars, with a daily limit of 10 sets. There are two types of set meals to choose from — “Two Innocent Kids” and “Love Each Other” — each featuring five different specialties. Lovers can enjoy these local delicacies with the company of paper pandas. Reservations can be made by phone starting July 26. Additionally, the city government has partnered with Taipei Xiahai City God Temple, commissioning Li Tingxiang Cake Shop to produce “Marriage Fortune Cakes” symbolizing good matrimonial luck, helping citizens find their perfect match.

Penghu Love at the Love Gate

To promote Penghu’s most beautiful beaches and allow more visitors to see the beauty of Penghu, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has specially installed swings and land art on Aimen Beach, allowing the public and tourists to sit back, relax, admire the beautiful beach and sea views, take photos, and more. In conjunction with the arrival of Qixi Festival, they are also holding a “Love at the Love Gate, Love Forever at Aimen” photo event where participants can receive souvenirs.

From July 28, 2014 to August 10, 2014, take a photo with the “Aimen ‘Love Gate’” land art or with the “PENGHU” letter design, either as a couple, family, friends, or in any fun Kuso-style shot, upload it to the菊岛欢乐游 (Penghu Fun Island) Facebook fan page to join the lucky draw. Drawing locations are at the Makung Airport Tourist Service Center or the Aimen Golden Sand Beach kiosk, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.
