Australia’s exciting annual event—2014 Hamilton Island Race Week—is set to take place from August 16–23. During this time, sailors and spectators from around the world will come together on Hamilton Island to experience the festive atmosphere of Australia’s largest annual land-based keelboat sailing regatta.Located on the edge of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is renowned for its pleasant climate, crystal-clear blue waters, beautiful beaches, stunning coral reefs, and diverse flora and fauna. Organized by the Hamilton Island Yacht Club, Hamilton Island Race Week is one of Australia’s most popular yachting events and a much-anticipated fixture on the international sailing calendar. Visitors coming at this time can not only witness a series of dynamic and exciting races but also enjoy a variety of entertaining activities, including delicious meals prepared by renowned chefs, colorful fashion shows, fun golf competitions, and delightful wine tastings… and more.

The Hamilton Island Yacht Club is situated between the Hamilton Island marina and Dent Island, often referred to as the “Sydney Opera House of Queensland.”It features a modern minimalist-style restaurant, a romantic bar overlooking the marina, private dining rooms, several versatile spaces for events and conferences, as well as five state-of-the-art multi-purpose halls, the largest of which can accommodate 350 guests.

The waterfront villas of the Hamilton Island Yacht Club, located right next to the club, are also very eye-catching. They are designed to emphasize privacy and tranquility while offering exceptional views of the bustling sailboats in Dent Passage. Adjacent to the marina where various sailboats and yachts are moored, they provide convenient access.
