Taitung Picnic Life Festival

A slow pace is one of the reasons many travelers are drawn to Taitung. What could be more enjoyable than having a leisurely summer picnic on a vast grassy field? The Taitung County Government is hosting the Taitung Picnic Life Festival from June 28 to September 14. After registering, all members of the public can enjoy a picnic from 3:00–6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays on the lawn in front of the Black Pomfret Warehouse at the Railway Art Village. During the picnic, the organizers will prepare activities featuring local ingredients, indigenous traditions, and cross-genre creativity, ensuring that every relaxing picnic is filled with enriching experiences. Come to Taitung on a weekend, join the fun cultural experiences at the Railway Village, feel the diversity of Taitung, and enjoy life on the grass.

Every year, a unique breeze sweeps through Tiehua Village—we call it the “Foehn,” a wind that belongs solely to music, gathering all those who play, love, and enjoy music into this village. This year’s Foehn arrives in midsummer (July 27). After fierce competition among talented musicians, ten standout bands have emerged. Now, after a month of rest and preparation, these ten bands from across Taiwan are ready to take the stage on August 24 (Sunday)

Hualien Soaring Season

The 2014 Hualien Soaring Season runs from July 19 to August 31 at the Fenglin Environmental Technology Park.
