The hotel is integrated with Tianjin Kerry Centre, making it the only international five-star luxury hotel in the city connected to a large shopping mall. The mall, “Kerry Centre Tianjin,” features a variety of entertainment and leisure venues, diverse dining options, and the largest children’s adventure playground operated by Shangri-La Hotels—covering an area of 1,700 square meters—which is expected to open in 2015. The playground will include inflatable slides, interactive games, role-playing areas, themed party rooms, and a craft center.
In the lobby lounge, guests can enjoy views of the Haihe River through oversized floor-to-ceiling windows. River elements are subtly incorporated throughout the hotel’s design—the crystal chandelier in the lobby lounge resembles the shimmering surface of the Haihe River under sunlight; the carpet pattern features beautiful lotus flowers resting gently on blue water; and the partition between the lobby and the lounge is carved with golden buds hanging from trees, as if petals are about to fall into the water with the breeze.
