Explore Kaohsiung’s Four Light Travel Routes During the Mid-Autumn Holiday – A Refreshing Autumn Getaway

Kaohsiung, having gradually recovered from the gas explosion and heavy rains, is regaining its former warmth and vitality. The upcoming Mid-Autumn holiday, which begins this Saturday (9/6), is one of the three most important festivals in Taiwan. The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau has specially launched four travel routes and two major events, inviting people from all over the country to come to Kaohsiung for moon-gazing and celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, while also giving the people of Kaohsiung a warm reunion embrace to cheer up the city.

Director Hsu Chuan-sheng of the Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau stated,The Mid-Autumn travel routes include four itineraries: the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Dashu Blessing Line, the Qishan-Meinong Bike and Food Tour, the Kaohsiung Coast Seafood Tasting Tour, and the Waterfront Golden Triangle Cultural Yacht Tour, as well as two events: the Magical Moon World in Tianliao and the Love River Night Tour.These offer a complete experience of Kaohsiung’s diverse landscapes—its mountains, sea, rivers, harbor, and city.

 

In recent years, biking tourism has become increasingly popular. Hsu Chuan-sheng mentioned that Kaohsiung has been featured by international media as one of Asia’s top five cities ideal for cycling. He particularly recommendsthe “Qishan-Meinong Bike and Food Tour,”where you can ride through Qimei’s old streets and enjoy traditional delicacies for a truly satisfying experience.
