Autumn has arrived and the persimmons have turned red. From September each year to January of the following year, the strong "Cijiu Wind" of Hsinchu sweeps through, turning the persimmons at Hsinpu Weijiagia Persimmon Cake Sightseeing Farm golden. A series of idyllic and poetic scenes unfold before your eyes, with bright orange persimmons piled high on the drying racks, breathing in the scent of sunlight as they enjoy their sunbath. Each persimmon looks like a little golden ball, and through the unique “Cijiu Wind” and sun-drying process in Hankeng, these golden orbs are magically transformed by nature into delicious reddish-golden persimmon cakes. The lovely and beautiful scenery attracts many travelers every year to experience this autumn symphony that blends visuals and flavors. The baskets of golden persimmons in the square have also become a favorite subject for autumn photography!

With the progress of the times, most persimmon cake producers now use electric ovens to make persimmon cakes. This method not only reduces losses but also saves time and labor. However, Hsinpu Weijiagia has long insisted on using a century-old traditional method to sun-dry their persimmon cakes. Leveraging the unique natural advantages of Hsinpu, they continue to preserve this traditional delicacy and craftsmanship. The persimmon cakes, infused with abundant sunlight and the Cijiu Wind, have enhanced flavors that have gained them greater recognition.

In contrast, the seven to nine days of sun-drying process require significantly more time and labor, making their costs much higher than ordinary persimmon cakes. They also can't compete with the low-priced persimmon cakes dumped from mainland China, resulting in tough business conditions. Fortunately, support from photography enthusiasts has helped them pull through. As a result, Weijiagia warmly welcomes everyone to come and capture the seasonal scenery of persimmon drying. They’ve even added railings and a roof on the second floor specifically for photographers, ensuring a safe and comfortable spot for shooting.
