The annual Golden Week is the peak travel season in China, and the travel choices of Chinese tourists have become one of the most closely watched issues in the global tourism industry. To this end, Hotels.com, the global leader in online hotel services, conducted a special survey on the popular overseas destinations searched by Chinese travelers for this holiday (statistics from August 1 to September 10), revealing thatTaipei ranked impressively, becoming the top choice among Chinese travelers, with Seoul and Bangkok following in second and third place respectively, while Hong Kong and Singapore secured fourth and fifth. Asian cities took all five top spots. Interestingly, Paris in ninth place was the only non-Asian city on the list, showing that the romantic City of Light is highly favored when Chinese travelers plan long-haul trips.
