To celebrate the arrival of the 103rd Double Ten National Day and encourage public participation in outdoor leisure activities to experience the wonders of nature, the Forestry Bureau has specially planned the “Double Ten Festival Half-Price Ticket Promotion.” As long as you visit any of the 12 forest recreation areas under the jurisdiction of the Forestry Bureau—including Taipingshan, Neidong, Manyueyuan, Dongyueshan, Daxueshan, Baxianshan, Aowanda, Alishan, Kenting, Shuangliu, Zhiben, and Chilan—on Double Ten Day (October 10), you will enjoy a half-price discount on admission that day.
*Excluding Fuyuan and Wuling Forest Recreation Areas; Guanwu and Hehuanshan offer free admission. Additionally, Tengzhi and Xiangyang are currently closed and not providing services.

● Taipingshan
Located in Datong Township, the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area has become a very popular destination in recent years. Spanning over 12,000 hectares, the area features the Nanhu Mountain Range, Sanxing Mountain Range, and branches of Dabajianshan. It is famous for its abundant red cypress and hinoki trees and was once ranked as one of Taiwan’s top three major logging sites alongside Alishan and Baxianshan. Taipingshan is lush with trees and rich in intact ecosystems. Thanks to variations in elevation, visitors can come to admire the changing colors of nature in different seasons—it's truly enchanting. Especially in autumn, the fiery red maple trees bring even more vivid hues to Taipingshan.

The Taipingshan recreation area features well-developed facilities, including Jiu-Zhi-Ze Hot Springs (formerly Renze Hot Springs), Forest Amusement Park, Forest Bathing Trails, Wildlife Protection Areas, and Cui Feng Lake—making it perfect for planning a one- to two-day mini trip.

● Neidong: The Neidong Forest Recreation Area, located in Xinxian Village, Wulai District, New Taipei City, is known as the “Valley of Dolls.” Its ecological environment remains highly preserved and is representative of the low-altitude stream valley ecology in northern Taiwan. The upper reaches of the Nanshi Stream cut through rock walls, forming steep and spectacular canyon landscapes that connect seamlessly with the Wulai Scenic Area.

The park is home to many waterfalls, among which the Xinxian Three-Tiered Waterfall and Wulai Waterfall are the most iconic. The area is densely covered with broadleaf forests, nurturing a rich ecosystem. Visitors can immerse themselves in scenic views, birdwatching, fern appreciation, and butterfly spotting along several kilometers of forest bathing trails. Lining the trails are lush trees, including broadleaf and Japanese cedar, with tall trunks and dense foliage. The steep cliffs on both sides of the streams retain quite primitive forest conditions. Combined with the very high humidity in the valley, this area creates an exceptionally rich ecological landscape.
