The National Taichung Theater is set to open on November 23, 2014. Asia Museum of Modern Art
The main structure of the Asia University · Asia Museum of Modern Art is built with fair-faced concrete and curtain walls, covering an indoor area of 1,244 pyeong and an outdoor space of 6,000 pyeong. Designed by architect Tadao Ando, the building uses the equilateral triangle as its basic design element, dividing the triangular floor plan into three levels that are staggered and stacked to form countless irregular triangles. The resulting atrium spaces and outdoor terraces created by the offset shifting serve as multifunctional areas such as sculpture platforms and open-air cafes.
