I always have this impression of Australia being vibrant, unrestrained, and free—its endless beaches and colorful, captivating coral reefs make it hard not to feel happy while living there. Especially Sydney’s most famous Bondi Beach, which is just seven kilometers away from the bustling Sydney business district. Besides the beautiful beach scenery, Bondi also hosts a large-scale coastal art installation event every year, covering the area from Bondi to Tamarama coastline, spanning three bays in total. The stunning coast itself serves as the exhibition venue, with sculptural artworks scattered along the approximately two-kilometer coastal walkway. The combination of mountain, sea, and landscape art results in some pieces perfectly blending into the background, while others create amusingly contrasting effects that bring smiles. This open-air, largest-in-scale free public exhibition is full of charm.
