November is just around the corner, and events are kicking off all over Taiwan. In the northern region, besides the upcoming lighting of New Taipei City’s Christmas Town, which will stay open for 51 consecutive days, a picnic music festival is also being held to let everyone soak in the beauty of autumn life; in central Taiwan, the highly anticipated Xinshe Flower Sea and Teddy Bear Carnival are set to continue last year’s popularity, while the spotlight is on the National Taichung Theater, which is hosting the Light Dance Festival series to invite everyone to join in the fun in Taichung; southern Taiwan is not to be outdone, with a series of events including a Dutch windmill festival, food festival, and hot spring season lined up to provide visitors with a fulfilling experience for the mind, body, and soul.

New Taipei City Christmas Town

This year, Joyful Christmas Town will remain open for 51 consecutive days, all the way until January 4, 2015, setting new records for the longest duration of performances, the densest LED lights, the longest light string, and the tallest Christmas tree in the history of Christmas Town. It will also feature macaron colors using nationally exclusive technology in the decorations for the first time, breaking away from the monotonous red, yellow, blue, and green palette to offer the public a brand-new visual experience.

2014 Caoling Historic Trail Silvergrass Season

Autumn is the prime season for silvergrass. The grass sways gracefully in the wind, its beautiful spikes standing upright and dancing with the breeze. The entire valley seems to roll with silver waves, while the sky is clear and the breeze refreshing. The “Caoling Historic Trail Silvergrass Season” allows the public to enjoy the rich natural ecology and cultural art of the Northeast Coast and experience an elegant leisure time.

TAIPEI Picnic Gathering

Location: Wanhua Youth Park
On November 1, the “TAIPEI Picnic Gathering” will be held at Wanhua Youth Park, inviting the public to enjoy a wonderful autumn holiday. The event will feature performances by anime bands, singer Lee Chien-Na, and appearances by well-known cosplayers joining in the picnic. There will also be street performances nearby, making for a rich and diverse program. All are welcome to join in the fun. Additionally, there will be a “Best Picnicker” selection, with winners receiving a Nikon P340 large-aperture 1.8 mirrorless camera.
