Attention, Keelung residents！ Kumamon is coming back to Keelung！ Last year (2016), the highly popular Kumamon from Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan made his first visit to Keelung to hold a local product exhibition, where he met Keelung’s mascot Yingxiong, drawing huge crowds eager to catch a glimpse. This year (2017), Kumamon will return on the 18th and 19th, giving locals another opportunity to experience his charm up close.

The “Kumamoto Prefecture Local Product Exhibition” will feature three Kumamon performances and two folk music shows each day, as well as a Japanese tea lecture and a rush mat coaster making workshop. The event will also offer for sale Kumamon-related goods such as mini taiyaki, ohitashi senbei, jade green tea, rush sleeping mats, and white pomelo jelly.
