On the opening day, there was no ribbon-cutting ceremony. Instead, 170 employees of publishing giant Condé Nast International entered One World Trade Center in the morning of November 3 to begin work, signifying the official public opening of the building. The government also declared that New York’s skyline was once again complete on this day.
