● Glowing Steel Snails – Xindian Sunshine Sports Park
Recently, if you’ve visited Xindian Sunshine Sports Park, you might have noticed a group of adorable little snails on the slope. These were created by the Expressway Administration Office through the reuse of discarded manhole covers—10 snails formed into a group, appearing to be diligently crawling toward the park.

In light of the increasing trend of urban waste, discarded manhole covers were used for landscape art, making full use of their circular shape as the backs of the steel snails.Additionally, fluorescent paint was applied to the manhole covers, so at night, you can see the steel snails faintly glowing, appearing and disappearing like stars in the sky—as if they are snails from the stars.

Chess is one of the most popular traditional leisure activities in China. It exercises decision-making and thinking skills through back-and-forth play, combining strategy with fun. The Expressway Administration Office has planned a chess park under Fuhe Bridge, arranging large chess pieces according to game layouts, and embedding chessboards into the park benches, allowing chess enthusiasts to come and play under the bridge.

●3DDinosaur Mural Park – Huazhong Bridge
Commuters passing under New Taipei’s “Huazhong Bridge” should take note: when walking under the bridge, stay alert and keep your nerves sharp, because you’ve accidentally fallen into a time tunnel and entered the Jurassic world. The area under Huazhong Bridge features the nation’s only large-scale 3D mural painted alongside a riverside bicycle path. The lifelike dinosaur graffiti seems to burst forth from another world, delighting children and offering an amazing photo spot for everyone else.

Both bridge pillars under the bridge are painted to resemble prehistoric times, among which the riverside pillar features a larger group of dinosaurs, including a super-sized triceratops whose massive foot is breaking through a cave as if trying to escape.
