Namie Amuro joins Jolin Tsai as Taiwan and Japan’s pop divas rent out Wufeng Lin Family Garden to shoot MV

Jolin Tsai’s new album “Play” was released on the 15th. The new track “I’m Not Yours” is her first self-composed song, featuring a duet in Mandarin with Japanese singer Namie Amuro. To showcase the clash and fusion of Eastern and Western cultures in the dance track...The two were spotted by media on the 11th heading to the historic Wufeng Lin Family Garden in Taichung to shoot the MV.

To create a classic and luxurious setting, the MV was specifically filmed in the grand flower hall of the Lin Family Garden. It is the only remaining Fujian opera stage in Taiwan. The Min-Zhe architectural style is vividly expressed through the exquisitely carved beams and painted rafters. With a width of five bays, the spacious hall was once where the Lin family entertained guests. The courtyard also featured a stage and a two-story audience hall, which hosted wildly popular performances in its heyday. The Lin family even had its own private opera troupe. The grand flower hall symbolized the family’s golden age. Though renovated, it remains exquisitely detailed and steeped in history, perfectly setting the stage for the MV’s opulent court atmosphere.
