Once made famous by the “Kobitos Farm Story” figurines launched as part of a convenience store loyalty campaign, the “Kobitos” not only charm office workers with their quirky looks, but their creator, Motoyuki Uchida, also believes that “as long as you have a pure heart, you can see the Kobito sprites.”

Motoyuki Uchida won an award at the GEISAI art festival at the age of 25, stepping onto the international stage for young Asian artists. In the “Kobitos Illustrated Guide,” he not only depicts the mischievous antics of these sprites but also, with the dedication of compiling an encyclopedia, meticulously presents each Kobito’s name, personality, haunts, and quirky habits unknown to most.
