The Central Ferris Wheel was built by Swiss AEX. It was originally scheduled to begin operations in September but experienced delays due to slower construction progress. The wheel features 42 gondolas, each capable of carrying eight passengers, with a full rotation taking approximately 15 – 20 minutes. The rotation speed will be adjusted according to passenger load. Ticket prices are HK$100 for adults and HK$70 for children, with an estimated annual ridership of one million people.

Currently, the Ferris Wheel is tentatively named the “Hong Kong Observation Wheel,” and a naming competition may be held to invite members of the public to suggest a Chinese name. There are dining facilities nearby, and most areas will be open for visitor access. Additionally, Swiss AEX kindly notes that the best time to ride the Central Ferris Wheel is around dusk, as the slowly ascending wheel offers a stunning view of the sunset over Victoria Harbour — truly a memorable experience.
