As Christmas draws nearer, December is undoubtedly the coziest and most romantic month of the year. Festive Christmas events are being held across Taiwan, allowing everyone to close out 2014 with joy and cheer, and embrace 2015 with a perfect ending.

● New Taipei City’s Happy Christmas Town
New Taipei City’s Happy Christmas Town features the tallest Christmas tree in Taiwan at 36 meters. This year, the event will be open for 51 consecutive days, all the way until January 4, 2015, setting new records for the longest duration of shows, the densest LED lighting, the longest length of lights, and the tallest Christmas tree in the history of the event. It also debuts nationally exclusive macaron-color LED technology in the decorations, breaking away from the usual red, yellow, blue, and green tones, offering the public a brand-new visual experience. In addition, there will be a series of concerts, markets, street carnivals, and other activities throughout the period.

● Gongguan Christmas Season
The “Gongguan Christmas Season” kicked off on the 6th at the Water Resources Park. This year, with an environmental theme, a 15-meter-tall Christmas tree made of recycled plastic bottles and large-scale installations were created. In addition to numerous delicate floral displays and Christmas decorations, the park also features a unique starry sky light show.
