Rediscover your lost childhood at the Little Prince Aerial Amusement Park in France

From the book "Le Petit Prince" (The Little Prince) written by French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in 1942, which depicts the little adventures of a young prince who comes to Earth, experiencing loneliness, friendship, and the loss and rediscovery of love. Though simple and childlike, the story is rich in philosophy. The novel has been translated into many languages and has remained a long-time bestseller. Whether in cartoon or live-action film adaptations, the Little Prince has captured the hearts of people everywhere.

And in July 2014, France’s first Little Prince-themed amusement park, Le Parc du Petit Prince, officially opened in Ungersheim, France. The opening of the park was inspired by a famous quote from the book: “All grown-ups were once children... but only few of them remember.” It aims to help adults find their lost childhood here.

The theme park offers 31 rides, creating an aerial world of the Little Prince’s planets. Among the most unique are two giant hot air balloons, symbolizing two planets the Little Prince visited—one ruled by an authority figure of a king who believes he can rule everything, and another by a man who is obsessed with lighting street lamps. Visitors can ride the “King’s Hot Air Balloon Le ballon du Roi” and enjoy views of the Alsace countryside from 150 meters above ground; there’s also the thrilling “Flying Chairs Chaises volantes,” which provides an exciting experience for adults accompanying their children.
