Following the success of Princess Cruises’ “Sun Princess” Southeast Asia itinerary in 2014, which used Kaohsiung as its home port and was well received, in 2015 the Marine Bureau and the Kaohsiung International Cruise Association have invited Princess Cruises to launch a “fly-cruise dual-home port” concept in June, using both Kaohsiung and Kobe. This “plane plus cruise” package offers a complete sea, land, and air travel experience.

To show its commitment to Taiwan’s central and southern markets, Princess Cruises has specially selected the 116,700-ton “Diamond Princess.” In addition to features such as an outdoor pool, a stargazing cinema, five-star international cuisine, and Chinese-speaking butler service, the ship also offers an exclusive “ocean hot spring bath” where passengers can soak in the thermal waters while enjoying breathtaking sea views. The newly launched “plane plus cruise” itinerary also allows friends from central and southern Taiwan to experience a triple combination of sea, land, and air travel, exploring the ancient city of Kobe and Okinawa Island in depth.
