The well-known professional aviation rating website AirlineRatings.com recently announced its list of the top ten safest airlines. Qantas Airways has maintained a zero-fatal-accident record since 1951, earning it the top spot.Taiwan’s EVA Air, established in 1989, has also never experienced any fatal flight accidents, ranking seventh. As a result, EVA Air has been selected as one of the world’s ten safest airlines for ten consecutive years by the renowned German aviation magazine AERO International.

This evaluation covered a total of 449 airlines worldwide. Based on criteria such as regulations from the International Civil Aviation Organization, civil aviation authority audit results, and airlines’ safety records, among seven standards, 149 airlines that scored full marks in all evaluation items were selected. These were then subject to a second round of rigorous assessment focusing on operational and safety-related comprehensive services, ultimately selecting the world’s top ten safest airlines.

The agency’s evaluation this time included 449 airlines worldwide. The judging panel first selected 149 airlines that scored full marks in all evaluation categories based on seven criteria (note), including rules from the International Civil Aviation Organization, civil aviation authority audit outcomes, and airlines’ safety records. These were then subject to a second round of strict assessment, focusing on overall services including operations and safety, to determine the world’s top ten safest airlines. EVA Air received the highest seven-star rating in these areas.

3. British Airways (British Airways)
4. Cathay Pacific Airways (Cathay Pacific Airways)
5. Emirates (Emirates)
6. Etihad Airways (Etihad Airways)
7. EVA Air (Eva Air))
8. Finnair (Finnair)
9. Lufthansa (Lufthansa)
10. Singapore Airlines (Singapore Airlines)
