In addition to the low-temperature special warning, the Meteorological Bureau has also issued a heavy rain warning, with rainfall concentrated in Keelung, Taipei, New Taipei, and Yilan. A strong wind warning over land is in effect mainly for coastal areas, so be especially cautious of sudden gusts.
Snowfall is possible on Yangmingshan and Alishan, while Yushan saw snowfall as early as January 30. From February 2 to February 7, both Yushan and Hehuan Mountain have a very high probability of snowfall. Yushan has already reached sub-zero temperatures, while Alishan and Yangmingshan are below 5°C. As the cold air mass intensifies, temperatures will drop even further. Those wishing to see snow should dress warmly. In some areas and road sections, vehicles may need snow chains, and portable electronic devices taken outdoors should also be protected against potential sudden malfunctions.
