Make your own instant noodles yourself at the Cup Noodles Museum in Japan!

Someone once commented on instant noodles like this: "The Japanese invented instant noodles and changed the food culture of the world." And the inventor of instant noodles was none other than Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin Foods Group. Following the instant noodle museum in Ikeda, Osaka, Nissin established a new Cup Noodles Museum in Yokohama in 2011, themed around "creative thinking," which introduces the development history of both instant and cup noodles.

In 1958, the world's first bowl of instant noodles, "Chikin Ramen" (Chicken Ramen), was introduced and is still available in supermarkets today, loved by the Japanese public. The Nissin Cup Noodles Museum, designed by architect Kazuo Shinohara, showcases the development philosophies of various countries' instant noodles as well as Nissin’s, displaying all of Nissin’s historic instant noodles and those from around the world. In addition, visitors can “experience making” their own uniquely flavored cup noodles. During the process, they can design their own noodle cup, choose one out of four types of soup flavors, and select four out of twelve ingredients to add!
