Want to head to Alishan during the Spring Festival and let the forest’s phytoncides be your New Year’s blessing at the start of the Year of the Sheep?Tickets for the Alishan Forest Railway during the Lunar New Year holiday go on sale on February 4, with a limit of four tickets per person per purchase.In addition, to effectively manage passenger flow during the Spring Festival and 228 consecutive holidays, the Alishan Forest Railway will operate one additional round-trip Alishan train daily from February 19–23 (a total of 5 days) and from February 27–March 1 (a total of 3 days). Moreover, branch lines and the sunrise viewing train within the Alishan Forest Recreation Area will also increase services flexibly based on passenger volume.

The main line schedule of the Alishan Forest Railway for the Spring Festival (February 19–23) and 228 (February 27–March 1) holidays is as follows:
Uphill: (1) 09:00, (3) 10:00 departures from Chiayi Station.
Downhill: (2) 14:00, (6) 15:00 departures from Fenqihu Station.
